Mixing it up: ideas for mixed ability classes with teens

Given that we all learn at different rates, and in different ways, mixed-level classes are an inevitability in teaching. For the language teacher, this can be both a challenge and an opportunity. This session will make a number of practical recommendations for how to help students of all abilities learn as much as possible during shared lessons, including lessons using Citizen Z, with ideas that range from task variation for coursebook material and fast finisher activities to dealing with pairwork and group work.
