“I will always remember the first day I arrived at London Heathrow airport, at about 7:00 p.m. and the traditional black taxi taking me to the landlady’s house on its way we passed by the Clock Tower “Big Ben” I just could not believe my eyes when I saw such a beautiful tower, at night, striking the Big Ben as it was 10:00 o’ clock!!!… my heart beating, full of emotion!

The next day I used the underground for the first time to commute from West Ham station in Canning Town to Holborn station to go to IH London, travelling by underground was such a pleasure… getting the announcements on the speakers of the station “Stand behind the yellow line please!” and on the train the driver reminding everyone: “Mind the closing doors please”, before the train left. I loved how kind and considerate Londoners are, regarding how to behave when commuting, streets are very clean in the city centre and security is admirable there are cameras everywhere, at the stations, even on the ceilings of the double decker buses there are cameras on every corner. I really loved the way Londoners live, this is such an excellent example of how organised a city should be”.

“Travelling is a wonderful experience and even more when you have the purpose of learning and training. In International House our dear tutors Michael and Katherine “Kazzie” taught us how to use new trends and apps to make lessons memorable and meaningful. Attending classes there also gave me the opportunity to hear numerous languages spoken by other students taking courses, and this was multiplied when walking the streets of London, visiting museums and art galleries or simply using public transport.
