The teacher teaches and the student learns but not necessarily the same thing. As teachers it’s important to focus on the important aspects of language, the ones which give the most value – but what are these? At the same time the teacher must motivate learners through stimulating and relevant material and through consistent and intensive feedback.

We will look at how language is taught and tested. And how teacher feedback is critical to student engagement and motivation. We will explore techniques both digital and face to face which can help learners make progress in their language learning both inside and outside the classroom.
